“Fast” Freddie Lindgren 2nd at FIM Speedway GP of Czech Republic

Monster Energy’s “Fast” Freddie Lindgren was back to a familiar place on the FIM Speedway GP World Championship tour – the podium – as he raced to a 2^nd place finish on Saturday at Round 3 of the series held at Czechia’s iconic Marketa Stadium, the 31^st running of the FIM Speedway GP of Czech Republic – Prague.

For Lindgren, top flight heat race finishes, including two wins (2-1-1-3-2) and all podiums qualified him automatically for the night’s final race – his first main event of the ’25 competition season.

“Pretty similar track to last year. Challenging for sure,” said Lindgren of what was described as a ‘technical, tricky track’ at Marketa. “Like always, gave it 100 percent. Straight to the final after five heats, which is always nice. Got on the box in 2^nd. Wish I’d had the No. 1 spot, but maybe next time.”

With the 18 point effort on the day, Lindgren bumped up to 5^th place in the overall standings with 40 points on the season. Just a couple clicks ahead of Lindgren and in 3^rd position in the overall SGP standings is Monster Energy’s Jack Holder, who placed 4^th at Marketa. Holder railed through the heat races, going 1-2-1-3-2, then won the second Last Chance Qualifier to transition to the main.
