Monster Energy’s Marine Cabirou powers through muddy conditions to claim second place in the Elite Women’s race at the UCI Downhill World Cup in Les Gets.

The World Cup is back in action! Monster Energy congratulates team rider Marine Cabirou on her second-place finish at the UCI Downhill Mountain Bike World Cup in Les Gets, France. In the seventh race of the 2025 season, the 28-year-old from Millau, France, made a powerful return from injury to secure her podium spot in the Elite Women’s Division amid turbulent weather.

In the Elite Women’s final, 35-year-old Camille Balanche from Le Locle, Switzerland, showed resilience on the muddy track to earn fourth place. Meanwhile, in the Elite Men’s final, Monster Energy’s Troy Brosnan—31, from Adelaide, South Australia—celebrated his 100th World Cup start with a strong fourth-place finish.

The Les Gets stop marked the return of the UCI Downhill World Cup after a six-week summer break. Riders faced rainy, muddy conditions on the iconic French track, adding intensity and unpredictability to the high-stakes event.

“I’m so happy! I can’t believe I landed a spot on the podium today after coming back from injury and fighting through it,” said Cabirou. “This weekend was not easy with the mud and rain, but having the support of my family and team really helped me stay focused. So stoked now going into World Champs next week!”

With this result, Cabirou climbs to fifth in the overall 2025 World Cup standings with 859 points.

Also in the top five, Monster Energy’s Balanche bounced back from her 14th-place finish in Andorra to take fourth in Les Gets with a time of 4:58.367. She now holds fourth overall with 872 points.
