The stoke is strong with this one! Hailing from Wagga Wagga, Australia, Ben Richards has been raised to become a freestyle motocross rider from a young age. Together with his younger brother, Tommy, he grew up across the street from an FMX compound and started hitting dirt jumps when he was 8 years old. And it shows! The two Richards brothers made history as the Monster Army's first-ever FMX riders. They're also hailed as Australia's next great FMX hope and constantly push one another to learn new tricks. Ben mastered backflips at the tender age of 14 and has since advanced to stomp Cordova flips, one-handers, and double backflips.
Aside from raw talent and determination, Ben also gets to train with the best: Seasoned pros including Australian FMX icon and Monster rider Jackson "Jacko" Strong have taken Ben and his brother under their wing. "The future of freestyle motocross is looking bright with Ben and Tommy," said Jackson Strong. Stay tuned for more and watch these young riders from "The Land Down Under" go all the way up!
