Jack Holder wins big at Warsaw SGP, joined on podium by Patryk Dudek in 3rd position

Published On:: 17/05/2025

Massive night for a couple Monster Energy-backed racers – Jack Holder & Patryk Dudek - at the showpiece race of the 2025 FIM Speedway Grand Prix season – the Orlen Oil FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Warsaw, held at the famed PGE Narodowy Stadium and packed to the brim with some 50,000 charged up fans.

Atop the podium, for the first time this season, was Holder. The young Aussie racer, in the gate for just his second full FIM Speedway GP season, launched himself from deep in the top ten (9th) all the way up to 4th position in the overall SGP standings, just one point back (29-28) of Latvia’s Andzejs Lebedevs for the 3rd place overall podium spot. Holder won Heat 3, Heat 8, Heat 10 and Heat 13 in an epic qualifying night to transfer to the main event. In total, Holder would only drop one point in qualifying, a 2nd place finish, late in Heat 19, to fellow Aussie Brady Kurtz. And from there Holder put the hammer down in the finals in a rematch with Kurtz.

“I woke up this morning and I knew today was the day,” said a beaming Holder to Monster Energy’s Joe Parsons following the main. “I was in business. Always in business. And tonight I really meant business.”

For Poland’s Dudek, an FIM wild card selection for the Warsaw round, it’d take a Last Chance Qualifier win in the LCQ 2 race to transfer to the finals.

“For me, I’m racing back here first time in the stadium since 2023, in front of this big crowd,” said Dudek. “But on the last gate, in the last race (before the main), I was thinking ‘OK, let’s do it.’ It was close. But I’m happy to race here.

“And now I go to the city, and hang out. With the Monster crowd.”
