Published On:: 17/02/2025

Oliver Solberg has just delivered an inch-perfect performance at Rally Sweden, securing his third successive WRC2 win on his home turf of the World Rally Championship. This 23-year-old Monster Energy driver is nothing short of a legend in the making.

Starting and finishing the Umeå-based event in top form, Oliver, alongside his co-driver Elliott Edmondson, dominated the stages, only falling behind on two occasions over the last three editions of WRC's winter round. Their success in the Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 also marked their first point score of the WRC2 season, having not been registered for points at last month’s Monte Carlo Rally.

“It’s a fantastic feeling to win my third Rally Sweden in three years. It’s incredible. I love this event, these people, and these roads, so to come home and win again is something very special,” said an elated Oliver.

Facing some tough conditions, Oliver and Elliott navigated the icy roads and changing ruts with precision. “We took our time and brought the car home – and then went fastest on the last one. I love that Umeå stage, it’s so much fun!” exclaimed Oliver.

Winning by 42.5 seconds, Oliver and Elliott have set the perfect start to a WRC2 title-chasing season. “We wanted to come here, to my home rally, and put down a good result which would make a good start to the year. Now, the focus is on moving forwards with the WRC2 title race. We want that championship this year,” Oliver declared.
