Sam Reynolds fell in love with biking the moment he was given his first two-wheeler. The bike enabled him to explore new interests and make new friends, a hobby that quickly turned into a big dream—to become a professional mountain biker. “I remember the freedom of having my first bike. It meant I could ride to friend’s houses, go to the park, explore the woods, and go where I never been before,” he said in an interview with InSightTV. Along his path, Reynolds was able to connect with like-minded teens who shared the same passion as him. Together, they participated in MTB races, which helped to sharpen his skills as a solid competitive athlete. It wasn’t long before Reynolds transitioned from racing to freeriding, quickly showing off his fearless nature. He aimed for the biggest air and attempted the gnarliest tricks at every chance he got. Today, Reynolds seeks to bring MTB to an even larger stage through his DarkFest series, a boundary-smashing mountain biking event created by some of the wildest riders in the sport.
