A tire-shredding legend, 37-year-old Daigo Saito is the personification of drifting. The Japanese racer, hailing from Saitama on the outskirts of Tokyo, is a force to be reckoned with when at the helm of four-wheel race machinery. Not only has he taken home the title in the legendary Japanese D1GP series (2008), but he has also won the US-based Formula Drift series (2012) – making him the only driver in the world to have won both major titles in professional drifting. Currently, Daigo competes in D1GP and Formula Drift, as well as running his own race workshop – better known as Fat Five Racing, where he builds his own custom race machinery, converting never-been-done before super cars like Ferrari's and Corvettes into tire slaying beasts.
