In 2005, Gittin Jr. became the first American driver to win a D1 Grand Prix event in the USA vs Japan All-Star Exhibition. In 2020, Vaughn earned his second Formula Drift championship title, clinching four podium finishes and two first-place wins. In 2014, Gittin announced his NASCAR Canadian Tire Series debut at Circuit Trois-Rivière as the only American driver in the circuit.
