THE FIRST BACK-TO-BACK CONSTRUCTORS’ CHAMPIONSHIP FOR McLAREN SINCE 1991
Singapore lit up the night, and McLaren lit up the championship. Under the blazing Marina Bay lights, the papaya drivers roared through the streets and into the history books, locking down their second consecutive Constructors’ title with six races still to go.
Street fighting in Singapore
From the moment the lights went out, McLaren came out swinging. Lando Norris launched off the line gaining two positions before the first sector was done. Oscar Piastri, meanwhile, dropped to fourth but kept his cool, settling into a rhythm on the tight, unforgiving streets of Marina Bay.
As the race unfolded, the pit window opened. The leaders dove into the pits, as Lando and Oscar surged to the front - P1 and P2 - leading the pack. But the battle was far from over. Lando boxed for hard tires, rejoining in P4 and Oscar followed suit shortly after, returning to P4 as the original order reshuffled. From there, it was all about grit and grind. Both drivers pushed their machines to the edge, hunting every tenth, every opportunity, every inch of track.
In the end, Lando crossed the line in P3, Oscar in P4, a double-points finish that sealed the deal. McLaren were crowned 2025 Constructors’ Champions, and they did it in style.

Lando Norris
“It was a tough race. I gave it my all and got close, but Max didn’t make any mistakes today. There were a few moments where we were side-by-side and had a good battle. I would’ve loved to get by and put some pressure on George, but the opportunities were so limited around this circuit.
I’m happy with the result though, the car was fast, and we’ve won the Constructors’ Championship for the second year in a row. Huge congratulations to everyone in the team who has played their part in achieving this remarkable success, they’ve done an incredible job, and we’ve achieved this together. We’ll make sure we celebrate this properly as a team and then get straight back to work for the rest of the season.”
Oscar Piastri
"I am very proud of this team. We've won back-to-back Constructors’ Championships, something we are all so proud of. It’s been a really good season so far, and to win it this early in the year is a great achievement. A massive congrats to the whole team and thank you for all of the hard work. It was a trickier race on my side, but it's something we'll review as a team. Now, we'll rest and reset before we head to the US."

Team Principal Andreas Stella
“For the second year in a row, McLaren are the Constructors’ Champions, an incredible feeling to end a very competitive weekend in Singapore! Last year, it went all the way to the final lap of the final race, so to be able to secure the title with six races to go in the 2025 season is an unbelievable effort from the entire team.
We can all be very proud of this achievement, the first back-to-back Constructors’ Championship for McLaren since 1991. It’s great that our teamwork is rewarded like this, but we must enjoy the moment this evening and then turn our attention to preparing for a competitive challenge in the final six races of the season.”

McLaren didn’t just win; they dominated this year. With raw pace, surgical strategy and fearless driving, they’ve carved their name into the 2025 season in bold, burning letters. The Constructors’ crown is theirs again and they’re not done yet.
Next stop: Austin. The papaya powertrain rolls on.
