This man lives and breathes rally racing. Utah’s Skyler Howes first boarded a motorcycle at the age of just three years old and ever since then he has put everything in to being the best racer he can be. He began his career in the USRA desert series in Utah and progressed through the ranks until he reached the big leagues, and in 2018 he took his golden chance by winning the Sonora Rally, the Dakar Challenge and the Baja Rally. That propelled him to the ultimate desert race, Dakar Rally, and after his debut in 2019 he went all-in on his career by selling all of his possessions and paying for a place in the 2020 Dakar with Bas KTM Racing. His gamble paid off when he finished in P5 overall, and in 2021 Husqvarna gave him a factory ride. His best result came in January 2023 when he finished on the podium in 3rd place, and now he’s part of the Monster Energy Honda family in what is an awesome coup for the team. He will be part of the squad heading to Saudi Arabia in January looking to claim Dakar glory, and you wouldn’t bet against him pulling it off.
