Rayssa Leal Wins Big at 2025 SLS Brasília Takeover, Giovanni Vianna Takes Second in Men’s Final
Monster Energy’s Rayssa Leal dominates the Women’s Street Final in her home country, while Giovanni Vianna claims second in a thrilling Men’s showdown at the SLS Brasília Takeover.
Monster Energy’s Rayssa Leal delivered a commanding performance to win the Women’s Street Final at the 2025 SLS Brasília Takeover, the third stop of the Street League Skateboarding (SLS) World Tour. The 17-year-old Brazilian phenom from Imperatriz thrilled her home crowd with a flawless display of technical mastery and style.
In the Men’s division, 23-year-old Giovanni Vianna from Santo André, Brazil, also made headlines by securing second place in a tightly contested final, showcasing Brazil’s dominance in global street skateboarding.
Founded in 2010 by pro skateboarder Rob Dyrdek, Street League Skateboarding (SLS) has grown into the world’s premier street skateboarding competition series. With Monster Energy as a founding sponsor, SLS has revolutionized the sport by bringing elite-level contests to global audiences through stadium events and, more recently, the innovative SLS Spot Takeover format. These new events transform iconic urban locations into pro-level skateparks, blending festival vibes with high-stakes competition and offering riders the chance to earn points toward the prestigious SLS Super Crown World Championship.

The SLS Brasília Takeover brought festival-style energy to the Esplanada dos Ministérios, featuring a custom-built course by California Skateparks. Fans enjoyed live music, interactive experiences, and world-class skateboarding streamed to a global audience.
Leal, a three-time SLS Super Crown World Champion, set the tone early with a kickflip frontside boardslide (6.8 points), followed by a stylish backside Smith grind (7.0) and a frontside bluntslide (6.2). She sealed her win with a high-scoring 360 kickflip down the big three-stair set (8.0), finishing with a dominant 21.8 total.
“I’m super happy. I’m with my family here, and this trophy is for my little brother,” said Leal. “The Super Crown is going to be crazy. I’m super excited and a little nervous, but it’s going to be fun!”
In the Men’s final, Vianna impressed with a Caballerial frontside bluntslide fakie (7.5), a Half Cab backside Smith grind (8.7), and a Caballerial nosegrind fakie (9.4). He briefly held the lead with a 27.0 total before being edged out by 0.1 points by Felipe Gustavo.
Also making waves, 19-year-old Filipe Mota landed two Nine Club tricks, including a nollie bigspin backside tailslide fakie (9.0), finishing fourth overall.

The next SLS Spot Takeover hits Cleveland, Ohio, on August 9, followed by major events in Paris and the SLS Super Crown World Championship in São Paulo this December.
