Here’s how the action unfolded at X Games Salt Lake City 2025 on Day 2:

BMX DIRT: MONSTER ENERGY SWEEPS PODIUM IN EPIC FINALE
WORTH THE WAIT! After being delayed from Friday due to strong winds, BMX Dirt delivered one of the most epic competitions in X Games history, and Monster Energy swept the entire podium!
R WILLY'S MASTERPIECE: Putting it all on the line, Ryan Williams unleashed pure magic in his third and final! The Australian superstar nipped two-time defending champ Brady Baker with a run for the ages: double frontflip, frontflip front bri flip, cashroll onto the step-up, frontflip no-hander down, and double backflip for 94.33 points and his first Dirt gold!
HISTORY IN THE MAKING: This marks R Willy's 10th X Games gold, tying him with Rob Adelberg for most gold medals among Australians! He's now won gold in FIVE different disciplines and could still become just the fourth athlete ever to win three golds at a single X Games with Dirt Best Trick and Park Best Trick still to come.
"Thank gosh I got that done! That's the only time I'm going to beat Brady Baker in the Dirt. Holy moly, I was on the edge of my seat and the edge of my pedals. Third time's the charm!" said Williams. He now owns 12 X Games medals (10 gold, 2 silver).

BAKER EXPLODES ON TRACK: Hailed by X Games commentators as the greatest BMX Dirt rider of all time, Brady Baker put on a clinic with three 90+ point runs. His best run featured cashroll tailwhip to tabletop, backflip triple tailwhip, 360 tailwhip, cashroll barspin, and 720 double barspin for 93.66 points and silver. It was so intense, his tire exploded upon landing the final trick! Baker now owns four X Games medals (two gold, two silver).

SANDOVAL BOUNCES BACK: After struggles in Park earlier, Daniel Sandoval earned his first Dirt medal. A perfect line including backflip double tailwhip, 360 barspin to down whip, frontflip, 360 double downside whip, 720 barspin secured Sandoval the bronze medal with 85.33 points.
Sandoval now owns ten X Games medals (three gold, one silver, six bronze).

WOMEN'S SKATEBOARD VERT BEST TRICK: ARISA TREW MAKES HISTORY WITH NEVER-BEEN-DONE TRICK
REDEMPTION TIME! After missing out on gold in Park (Friday) and settling for silver in Vert (Saturday), Arisa Trew was laser-focused on making history in Women's Skateboard Vert Best Trick. The 15-year-old Australian secured the lead early with her signature switch McTwist as a "safety run." But Trew wasn't done – she systematically started chasing a trick that had never been landed by a woman in competition!
NEVER-BEEN-DONE MAGIC: On her fourth attempt, Trew made X Games history by landing the first-ever kickflip body varial 540 by a woman in competition! The crowd absolutely erupted as she rode away clean from the groundbreaking trick.

"I grabbed it and just stuck it to my feet, hoping I'd land it, and then I couldn't believe that I actually rode away from it," said Trew after making history.
This eighth X Games gold makes Trew the winningest woman in X Games summer disciplines, breaking her tie with Aggressive In-Line legend Fabiola da Silva. At just 15 years old and in only her third year at X Games – simply astonishing! Trew now owns nine X Games medals (eight gold, one silver).

MOTO X BEST WHIP: JULIEN VANSTIPPEN BATTLES INJURY FOR GOLD
BROKEN THUMB, UNBROKEN SPIRIT: Despite a broken right thumb, Belgium's Julien Vanstippen wasn't about to let anything stop him from defending his Moto X Best Whip crown! The 29-year-old already made history in 2022 as the first Belgian to win X Games gold, now he's got his second!
SLOW-MO STYLE: Flying through the air in slow motion, Vanstippen figured out how to get his body under his bike, sending the most contorted whips of the night. His massive tuck in mid-air almost looked like a backflip before aligning forward for a perfect landing

"I did not expect to win. The first gold wasn't expected, and this one was difficult with my thumb injury. But everything is mental. So, I sent it! This was one of the biggest whips I've done!" said Vanstippen after claiming his second gold. He now owns six X Games medals (two gold, two silver, two bronze).

MEN'S SKATEBOARD PARK: WOOLLEY AND SCHAAR BATTLE 94-DEGREE HEAT FOR DOUBLE PODIUM
