The future looks bright. Park City upstart Colby Stevenson was generating hype for some time before taking over the spotlight at X Games Aspen 2020: After winning the inaugural Ski Knuckle Huck with a face-melting performance, Stevenson made history as the first rookie in X Games history to claim Ski Slopestyle gold. Now that's how you debut at X Games! Getting there was no walk in the park. In 2016, Stevenson suffered a traumatic brain injury that put his entire future (skiing and otherwise) in jeopardy. But only eight months later, the U.S. Ski Team member won his first World Cup at Seiser Alm and has been constantly stacking podiums ever since. And please don't peg him as just another contest rider: Stevenson spends hours perfecting next-level moves and enjoys taking his diverse bag of tricks into the backcountry.
