The Monster Energy team brought the heat to Japan, delivering a weekend of unforgettable moments at X Games Osaka 2025. With a mix of rising stars and seasoned legends, the team walked away with 13 medals—including 4 golds—across BMX, Skateboard, and Moto X events.

Arisa Trew Raises the Bar in Women’s Skateboarding
Australia’s Arisa Trew proved once again why she’s the future of skateboarding. The 15-year-old phenom not only defended her titles in Women’s Skateboard Vert and Park, but also made history by becoming the most decorated female skateboarder in X Games history with seven gold medals. Her Park run was a masterclass in style and control, capped off with a switch McTwist that sealed a 93.33 score and her second gold of the weekend.

Tom Schaar Closes Out Osaka with a Statement Win
In the final event of the weekend, Tom Schaar delivered a dominant performance in Men’s Skateboard Park, defending his gold medal with a 90.33-point run. His line included a frontside stalefish 360 and a backside 540 melon, showcasing the consistency and creativity that have earned him 16 career X Games medals. Earlier in the weekend, Schaar also earned bronze in Vert, proving his versatility across disciplines.

Ryan Williams Lands Gold in BMX Park Best Trick
Known for pushing the boundaries of BMX, Ryan Williams added another gold to his collection with a frontflip flair tailwhip in the BMX Park Best Trick contest. The Sunshine Coast native now holds 11 X Games medals, including golds in four different BMX categories—a rare feat in the sport.

Breakthroughs and Podiums Across the Board
It wasn’t just the veterans making headlines—several Monster Energy athletes delivered career-defining performances in Osaka.
Ben Richards, the 24-year-old Moto X newcomer from Wagga Wagga, Australia, stunned the field in his X Games debut. As the youngest rider in the Moto X Best Trick lineup, Richards landed a jaw-dropping Special Flip—a 360 body varial performed while seated mid-air. The ultra-rare trick earned him a massive 91.00 points and the silver medal, marking a breakout moment in his career.
Moto X legend Jackson Strong added yet another chapter to his storied legacy. The 33-year-old from Lockhart, Australia, executed a clean frontflip seat grab Indy to secure bronze. With this result, Strong now owns 18 X Games medals, making him the most decorated athlete in Moto X Best Trick history.

In BMX Park, French rider Anthony Jeanjean finally reached the X Games podium after two previous attempts. The multiple-time world champion and Olympic bronze medalist delivered a high-energy final run packed with transfers, barspins, and flair variations to earn bronze with 82.00 points—his first X Games medal.
Jordan Godwin from Cardiff, Wales, brought his signature technical style to the BMX Street final, linking together a nollie to feeble grind, toothpick hanger, and a hardway 360 out of a peg grind. His 87.66-point run earned him bronze, his second career X Games medal and a strong statement in a stacked field.
In BMX Flatland, Japan’s own Moto Sasaki overcame a serious elbow injury to deliver a flawless final combo. Balancing on the front wheel with seamless transitions and barspin variations, Sasaki earned silver—his second X Games medal and a deeply emotional moment in front of his home crowd.

Finally, Moto Shibata gave the Osaka fans a moment to remember in Skateboard Vert Best Trick. The hometown hero landed a never-been-done front foot impossible lien 540, earning silver and pushing the boundaries of vert skating. With this result, Shibata now holds 10 X Games medals, further cementing his legacy.
