X Games Aspen 2025 - Day 2 Highlights

Monster Energy Riders Sweep Two Event Podiums and Land History-Making Tricks on Day 2 of X Games Aspen 2025.

History has been made! The busiest day of X Games Aspen 2025 brought sold-out crowds to Buttermilk Mountain for nine medal competitions. And Monster Energy athletes raised the bar by unleashing never-been-landed tricks and sweeping entire podiums on day two of X Games Aspen 2025.

When the medal haul ended, the team claimed a total of 15 medals (6 gold, 4 silver, 5 bronze) across nine contest events in a single day. 

The day also marked the debut of brand-new Street Style competition events, with gold medals clinched by Monster riders Colby Stevenson (Men’s Ski Street) and Olivia Asselin (Women’s Ski Street). And that’s just a fraction of all the victories…

Here are all the wins for Team Monster Energy at X Games Aspen 2025 on Friday:

WOMEN’S SNOWBOARD SLOPESTYLE: ZOI SADOWSKI-SYNNOTT LEADS FULL PODIUM SWEEP FOR TEAM MONSTER ENERGY

THE COMEBACK IS COMPLETE! After claiming bronze in Big Air last night, Zoi Sadowski-Synnott from Wānaka, New Zealand returned from last year’s ankle injury to dominate Slopestyle with a history-making run!

NEVER-BEEN-DONE ALERT! The Kiwi ripper threw down a mind-blowing first run featuring a switch backside 1260 and triple cork 1440 – tricks never landed before in women's competition. Her full run included frontside lipslide to front tail slide 270 out, frontside bluntslide to 450 out, switch boardslide 270 out, followed by those massive jumps for 94.66 points and gold!

Honestly, I didn’t know if I would ever be on the podium again after going through that injury. To be back here in the mix with the girls and be part of the progression means so much to me! said an emotional Zoi at Aspen 2025.

Sadowski-Synnott now owns 11 X Games medals (6 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze).

CLUTCH PERFORMANCE: In a true back-to-the-wall situation, 20-year-old Kokomo Murase from Gifu, Japan, needed a perfect run on the last attempt – and found it! Her silver-medal run featured Cab 270 boardslide 270 out, technical rail combos, and massive airs including Cab double cork 1080, switch backside 900 Indy, and backside double cork 1080 Weddle for 90.33 points.

YOUNG GUN ON THE RISE: Rounding out the full podium sweep, 18-year-old Mia Brookes from Sandbach, United Kingdom, put down a technical masterpiece. Her bronze-winning run combined tech rail moves with huge airs including a Cab 1440 melon for 88.33 points.

MEN’S SKI SLOPESTYLE: LUCA HARRINGTON CLAIMS UPSET VICTORY

FROM ALTERNATE TO GOLD MEDAL WINNER! Never mind that he merely squeezed into the final as an alternate in the last minute, 20-year-old Monster Army rider Luca Harrington from Wānaka, New Zealand, proceeded to claim gold in his X Games debut!

PERFECT RUN, PERFECT TIMING: Coming in hot from recent World Cup wins, Harrington unleashed a jaw-dropping run combining tech rail moves like left foot frontside switch-up pretzel frontside switch-up pretzel 270 and switch left 270 pretzel 450 out. In the jumps, he stomped switch left side double cork 1620 safety, right side double cork 1080 Japan pull-back to 900, and a massive switch left triple cork 1620 esco grab for 93.33 points and X Games gold!

“This year has been absolutely incredible! I was so honored to get the invite to come here. I was actually an alternate until last minute, all the way until this morning! Going up the hill on the sled, I said, ‘Let’s win this thing!’ said Harrington upon winning Men’s Ski Slopestyle gold at X Games Aspen 2025.

 

WOMEN’S SKI STREET STYLE: OLIVIA ASSELIN WINS ANOTHER HISTORIC FIRST

THE TRENDSETTER STRIKES AGAIN! After winning the first-ever Women’s Ski Knuckle Huck in 2024, 20-year-old Olivia Asselin from Quebec City, Canada, claimed gold in another X Games debut event! She’s officially skiing’s ‘it girl’, after all…

TECH QUEEN: Asselin dominated the new street-style course with next-level rail skills. Her winning run? Technical mastery featuring 270 continuing, 270 on the down rail, switch up to forward moves, and a clean backside 450 out of the massive wall ride.

“I think the rails are my favorite thing about skiing. It was super fun! It’s really difficult and there are many hard things on the course. It was hard to figure out but at the end of the day, we are all just here for fun!” said Asselin upon claiming the win in Women’s Ski Street Style.

Asselin now owns two X Games medals (both gold).

 

MEN’S SKI STREET STYLE: COLBY STEVENSON CLAIMS FIFTH X GAMES GOLD

23-year-old Colby Stevenson from Park City, Utah, claimed gold in the first-ever Men’s Ski Street Style, with a tech-heavy run that had the crowd going wild! Stevenson dominated with next-level tricks including switch to pretzel 630 on the elevated rail and 270 on continuing 630, showcasing why he's one of the most versatile riders in the game.

“I didn’t have the results I wanted in the other events, so I wanted to give it my best shot here,” said Monster Energy’s Stevenson upon taking the win in Men’s Ski Street Style at X Games Aspen 2025. Thanking his fans, he added: “This is the biggest crowd of fans I’ve had out here, and I can’t thank them enough for their support!”

Stevenson now owns six X Games medals (5 gold, 1 bronze).

MCEACHRAN TAKES BRONZE: Keeping the medals coming for Team Monster Energy, 27-year-old Evan McEachran  from Oakville, Canada, claimed bronze with creative lines including a transfer from flat rail to down rail and a technical 180 onto the table with continuing 270, pretzel, 450. Welcome to the podium!

McEachran now owns 3 X Games medals (1 silver, 2 bronze).

 

MONSTER ENERGY SWEEPS PODIUM AGAIN IN WOMEN’S SNOWBOARD KNUCKLE HUCK

DOUBLE SWEEP ALERT! Following the Slopestyle podium sweep, Monster Energy riders dominated Women’s Snowboard Knuckle Huck with Kokomo Murase defending her gold, Mia Brookes claiming silver, and 15-year-old Monster Army rider Lily Dhawornvej from Frisco, Colorado, clinching bronze.

KOKOMO DEFENDS GOLD: The defending champ wasted no time, starting with a hand drag backside 360 and building momentum with a huge method air and backside 360 pullback to 180. When Brookes briefly took the lead, Murase answered with a massive frontside 360 to the bottom for gold, capping it off with a victory lap hand drag backside 540.

Murase now owns 11 X Games medals (4 gold, 5 silver, 2 bronze).

BROOKES BRINGS THE HEAT: The UK tech master threw down in true street style, landing Cab 180 butter back 540 out, backside ‘unit’ 540 Miller flip, and a massive Cab 1080 melon popped off the front foot for silver.

Brookes now owns 4 X Games medals (1 gold, 1 silver 2 bronze).

REMEMBER THE NAME: Monster Army rider Lily Dhawornvej showed and claimed bronze! The Colorado native’s first X Games medal came courtesy of front flip (tame dog), backside Miller flip double hand drag, tame dog nosegrab, and a clean backside 540. Watch out for this kid!

 

MONSTER ENERGY WOMEN’S SKI SUPERPIPE: CASSIE SHARPE CLAIMS COMEBACK VICTORY

MOTHERHOOD TO GOLD MEDAL: After stepping away to welcome daughter in 2023, 32-year-old Cassie Sharpe from Comox, Canada, made an epic comeback to claim her third X Games gold!

STRATEGIC GENIUS: Sharpe played it smart, building momentum to secure her spot in the final four. Then she unleashed a perfect run featuring an eleven-foot rightside 900 safety, leftside 900 Indy, huge air fakie Japan, switch 360 mute, massive flair and a 12-foot left 1080 Indy on the final wall for 88.33 points! 

“It’s been a long road back and I’m speechless. I can’t believe it! I’m over the moon and so grateful,” said Sharpe upon claiming X Games gold in Women’s Ski SuperPipe at Aspen 2025, adding: “I just wanted to come out swinging… it’s the X Games!!!”

Sharpe now owns 6 X Games medals (3 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze).

 

PACIFICO MEN’S SNOWBOARD BIG AIR: TWO MEDALS IN HISTORY-MAKING SESSION

PROGRESSION OVERLOAD: The sold-out crowd witnessed snowboarding history as multiple riders stomped never-been-done 2160-degree rotations! The night’s winner even unleashed the world’s first 2340-degree rotation! The level was so insane that it took 93.33+ points to make finals!

HASEGAWA GOES HUGE: Defending champ, 19-year-old Taiga Hasegawa from Iwakura, Japan, made history by landing the world’s first Cab frontside 2160 Weddle grab in qualifying. In the finals, the Japanese phenom stomped an even bigger Cab 2160 Weddle (94.66 points) for silver!

Hasegawa now owns 2 X Games gold medals (1 gold, 1 silver).

ROOKIE ON FIRE: 18-year-old Monster Army rider Rocco Jamieson from Wānaka, New Zealand, showed up big in his X Games debut! After qualifying with 94.00 points, he sealed bronze with a mind-bending frontside 1800 Bloody Dracula grab (91.33 points). X Games commentators were certain: A session that will go down in the history books!

MEN’S SNOWBOARD KNUCKLE HUCK: PATRICK HOFMANN CLAIMS SILVER AND DUSTY HENRICKSEN TAKES BRONZE

STYLE FOR MILES: The Men’s Snowboard Knuckle Huck ended the night on a progressive note in a 30-minute jam session judged on creativity and ‘Wow Factor.’ Stoking the crowd, 23-year-old Patrick Hofmann from Switzerland brought his unique flavor to claim silver with mind-bending tricks like switch one-foot backside 180 in the binding, nosepress nollie wildcat backflip, penguin slide to method, and a stylish one-foot Japan air for his first X Games medal!

DUSTY BRINGS THE HEAT: 21-year-old Dusty Henricksen from Mammoth Lakes, California claimed bronze with creative moves including a styled out backside 360 hand drag, Cab 180 tailpress front flip, and a wild Cab 180 tailpress double front flip! What a way to wrap the biggest day of X Games Aspen 2025!

Henricksen now owns 5 X Games medals (2 gold, 3 bronze).
