It's Dan Bewley again as Monster Energy’s FIM Speedway GP racer podiums in Malilla, Sweden
Dan Bewley again put his 500cc methanol-fueled rocket of a motorcycle – with no brakes – on the FIM Speedway Grand Prix podium, this past weekend running to a strong 3rd place finish in the Virkvarn FIM Speedway GP of Sweden – Malilla – at Skrotfrag Arena.
Bewley, who opened the night at the popular stop on the FIM Speedway GP tour with a heat race win, then raced to four consecutive 2nd place heat finishes before winning the LCQ to make the four-man main event. Once there Bewley continued to rip, making the podium in 3rd position – taking home 16 championship points in the process.

Said Bewley: “Pretty decent points in the heats for a change. Battled away and once again won the Last Chance. My bike felt really good in the Last Chance. Then the rain came (in the main) and I felt like I was just spinning the whole race. Congrats to Brady (Kurtz). Congrats to Bartosz (Zmarzlik) and (I) just gotta be a little bit better.”

With the 16 point effort at Malilla, Bewley gained four points on Monster Energy’s Frederik Lindgren (5th at Malilla) and now trails “Fast Freddie” by just two points for the third and final SGP series overall podium position, 99-97.
Also making the top ten for Monster Energy was Jack Holder, who placed 8th on the night. Holder rocketed out to two heat wins, but faded a bit late – and failed to get out of his LCQ.
