Marine Cabirou Wins Val di Sole World Cup
Monster Energy’s Marine Cabirou claims her 10th World Cup win in Val di Sole, while Troy Brosnan and Thibaut Daprela secure podium finishes in the Elite Men’s race.
Monster Energy’s downhill mountain bike team delivered a powerful performance at the fourth stop of the 2025 UCI Downhill Mountain Bike World Cup in Val di Sole, Italy. Leading the charge, Marine Cabirou from Millau, France, claimed a hard-fought victory in the Elite Women’s division, marking her 10th career World Cup win.
The iconic Val di Sole track, known for its steep, technical terrain and unpredictable conditions, once again tested the world’s best riders. From June 20–22, the legendary course in Trentino hosted top-tier competition, and Monster Energy athletes rose to the occasion.

After narrowly missing the podium in Austria, Cabirou came into the weekend hungry for redemption. Despite a slow start—sitting fifth at the first split—she gained time in every sector, ultimately crossing the line with a time of 4:10.310, finishing 1.2 seconds ahead of the next competitor.
“The track was really tough, the dry conditions were very tricky, and the dust made it almost impossible to see the lines,” said Cabirou. “I wasn’t comfortable on the bike, but I managed to relax and enjoy it anyway. I’m very happy to take my tenth World Cup win here in Val di Sole!”
With the win, Cabirou now ranks fifth overall in the 2025 season standings with 567 points.

In the Elite Men’s final, Troy Brosnan from Adelaide, South Australia, secured his first podium of the season with a second-place finish. His time of 3:41.284 reflected a return to form after months of fine-tuning his setup and recovering from a slow start to the year.
“It’s been a hard road to get to this point,” said Brosnan. “We’ve worked endlessly on the bike setup. To come second in qualifying and repeat that in finals feels so close to a win.”
Brosnan now sits seventh in the overall standings with 465 points.
Joining him on the podium, Thibaut Daprela of France powered through adversity to take third. Despite losing his chain early in the run, Daprela held nothing back, finishing in 3:42.223—less than a second behind Brosnan.
“It was all or nothing,” said Daprela. “I knew my lines and trusted my riding. I’m super stoked to be back up to a faster pace.”
Daprela now ranks fifth in the season standings with 503 points.
Just off the podium, Dylan Maples of the U.S. finished fourth with a time of 3:43.590, followed closely by Loris Vergier of France in fifth at 3:43.931. Vergier now holds third place in the overall standings with 525 points.
The 2025 UCI Downhill Mountain Bike World Cup continues July 3–6 in La Thuile, Italy, where the world’s best will once again battle for points, podiums, and momentum.
