McLAREN GOES FULL THROTTLE TO A DOMINANT IN CHINA SECURING 50TH ONE-TWO FINISH

Published On:: 24/03/2025

McLaren just lit up Shanghai like a high-voltage power surge, delivering a masterclass in precision, speed, and pure grit. Let’s dive into the action-packed showdown that saw McLaren grab their historic 50th one-two finish!

Oscar Piastri blasted off the start line from pole like a rocket fuelled on adrenaline. With Lando Norris muscling his way past Russell to P2, it was game on for McLaren. The medium tyres started to give the boys a tough time with graining, but they kept their cool under pressure. Piastri pitted on Lap 14 for a fresh set of hards, with Lando following a lap later. A sneaky undercut briefly handed Russell the upper hand, but Lando wasn’t about to let it slide—he clawed back his position like a beast on a mission.

With both cars leading the charge in P1 and P2, it was a papaya dream scenario. But just when you thought it was smooth sailing, Lando got hit with a brake pedal issue in the closing laps. Cue the nail-biting finish as Russell turned up the heat, closing in on Lando right up to the last lap. Did it matter? Not one bit! Both McLaren cars stormed across the line, locking down their legendary one-two finish in style.
