REGIONAL MANAGER SWITZERLAND & AUSTRIA

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Regional Marketing this role is expected to create and execute regional marketing programs, which may include national and grassroots events, local athlete/ambassador sponsorship, regional web content management and guerrilla marketing activity within their defined region through their local marketing team.

Development of sponsorship proposals through your marketing team, connections in the scenes of which each brand are present (or targeting) to ensure the right image and geographical mix of activation in each market.

This role is responsible for the management of the local marketing teams in their region, and is essential in creating a relevant, exciting and credible brand experience regionally.
    
Travel: High levels of travel (some international) is required.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Work with the Regional Marketing Director and other HQ specialists to develop a local marketing plan for each of the countries in the territory.
•    Implementation of the local marketing plan and hitting all objectives set at the start of the year, with on time and within budget execution.
•    Responsible for managing local teams for executing the marketing plan locally, including but not exclusively the delivery of regional events, the sampling program, local sponsorship and activation across the marketing pillars and scenes of each brand, media and digital activation and local projects.
•    Responsible for the full marketing budget within their region.
•    Maintain a close working relationship to the commercial teams and ensure the marketing plan supports the commercial strategy.

Sampling Teams

•    Work with the supporting (central) marketing & operations team to achieve all sampling team objectives and provide professional leadership of these teams and program development and improvement.
•    Line management responsibility for the recruitment, training, motivation and development of a team of Marketing Team Leaders across their defined region.
•    Responsible for the planning and implementation of the trucks and teams in their region and the sampling activity plan across scene partners, area blitzes, event activation, trade support etc.

Sponsorship

•    Develop sponsorship proposals within the “business mix” of local scenes by recruiting the right people in the marketing teams who will have these connections to ensure credibility and leverage opportunities.
•    Manage the athlete, brand and event sponsorship proposals with HQ specialists for feedback, approval, legal and financial processes as necessary.

Event Activation

•    Work with the event production team and Regional Marketing Director to build a plan for activating a calendar of events in your region across the relevant brand scenes 
•    Work with the event production team and your marketing team leaders to ensure each event sponsorship has the correct contracts, H&S processes are adhered to and the team have all the information required to manage the event successfully.
•    Responsible for managing the local team through event negotiation and activation in your region through the event production and marketing teams. 
•    Management and review of all event equipment in their region including acquirement, upkeep and use.

Digital

•    Responsible to lead and supervise the planning for the daily updating of the country website pages in your region 
•    Work with Local teams and the HQ team to develop effective digital local plans for  Facebook, Instagram other selected platforms, with proper planning, targeting and reporting on results and KPIs. 
•    Work with Digital Marketing Coordinators to ensure the highest quality output on key social media channels of international, regional and grassroots activity.
•    Managing marketing personnel to ensure EMEA and local content is effectively planned and actioned via all relevant owned channels as well as external channels. Monthly analysis and reporting is also required from the specific local marketing personnel.

Internal Communication & Commercial support

•    Improving communication between local marketing activity, commercial teams and Country Managers by being a key coordinator of marketing for your region in the form of internal communications, presentation writing and presenting, as well as meeting attendance.
•    Monthly trade marketing communication with sales teams/personnel to leverage all possible local marketing activity with the purpose of increasing sales through sales drives, customer incentives and hospitality. The RMM should support commercial teams with marketing assets where suitable and support local sales promotions in retail stores.
•    Responsible for the marketing reports concerning all aspects of local marketing to upload weekly, monthly & quarterly updates.
•    Work with Communications Managers to fulfil all internal communication requirements.


Lifestyle Marketing (venues/bar/club nights)

•    Use feedback and local knowledge from the marketing team to propose bar and club night sponsorships.
•    Manage any marketing-led on-premise sponsorship activation including parties and POS.
